Caulerpa Brachypus have green blade like leaves attached onto horizontal runners. These runners attach themselves onto surfaces like rock and sand using their with rhizoids, which resemble roots.
This species of macroalgae is popular amongst hobbyists because of its ability to absorb nutrients such as nitrates and phosphates. This natural filter is hardy and has a fast growth rate making it a great addition to all saltwater aquariums and/or refuguims. Macroalgae also provides an ideal habitat for desirable organisms such as copepods and amphipods that in turn act as food for fish and coral.
Portion will be roughly the size of a golf ball.
